Facelift Surgery: Tips for a Safe Recovery

Facelift Surgery: Tips for a Safe Recovery

As the years go by, the skin begins to lose its elasticity and firmness – the signs of aging will take its natural course. Nonetheless, the occurrences of crow’s feet, forehead creases as well as deeper folds may be combated against through a simple facelift surgery, also known as a rhytidectomy. Many maturing women have opted to fight against the signs of aging, and have been satisfied with their decision.

Refresh your look with a facelift and overcome the causes of heredity, personal habits, excessive exposure to the sun and the pull of gravity that get in your way of having flawless, youthful skin.

How to care for yourself after a facelift

Reportedly, most patients have experienced little pain after surgery; however, some degree of swelling and bruising is unavoidable. That said, a professional, qualified surgeon will still prescribe the necessary medication, to be on the safe side. To ensure a fast and smooth facelift recovery, do use a cold compress on affected areas – to relieve swelling and to keep it at a minimum.
Also, always keep your head elevated when lying down and give yourself the time to recuperate; keep activity levels at a minimum and avoid vigorous activity.
Recovery time usually takes two to three weeks even though some patients are able to return to work by the end of two weeks.
Bear in mind, however, that scarring from the procedure is inevitable but will fade away, gradually with time – nothing that a little make-up is unable to fix.

The best practices for a successful facelift

Much pressure is placed upon women in society, especially career women who have an image to maintain – with facelift surgery, the signs of premature aging can be removed as well as an increased sense of confidence. That said, the normal process of aging will continue even after the procedure and it is recommended that one seeks regular treatment in the maintenance of a fresh, youthful look.
Korean plastic surgery is often dubbed as the hottest spot in all of Asia for plastic surgery and beauty procedure purposes. It is a known fact that South Korea has had the most number of plastic surgery procedures done in a single year - also reflecting their abundance of best practices available on the market.
