Written by Seoul TouchUp. Posted in Asian Plastic Surgery, Facial Bone Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, Korean Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery News

burglar-plastic-surgery

This is probably a one in a million kind of incident to happen, but lately there has been news of a burglar who got away from his misdeeds through a rather peculiar method: Korean plastic surgery. You’d think that only hip and competitive youngsters would opt for surgery in today’s image-conscious Asia, but no! There are burglars who have decided to advance their careers, too! They, too, also desire to perfect their craft! The art of burglary now goes hand In hand with plastic surgery.
Reported by the Korea Herald, this burglar fellow claimed to have gotten surgery because he wanted to feel better about his shortness. So what did he do? Robbed people! A total of 87 incidents during April and December of last year. For most people, jawline surgery or osteogenesis (making bones lengthier) would cost an arm and a leg. Oh, but not this guy because he had all the money in the world to get those surgeries done. From his robberies, he had gained a total of $480,000 worth of goods.

If we look at this lovely chart that shows the average cost of Korean plastic surgery, this guy could’ve done jawline surgery for ninety-six times if he so felt like it!

You Can Be Turned Down for Plastic Surgery

Written by Seoul TouchUp. Posted in Asian Plastic Surgery, Facial Bone Surgery, Korean Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery News

Plastic surgeons don’t really have a reputation for turning people down when they wish to undergo a procedure. While most people think that this is entirely due to financial reasons, the truth is that most people wish to have very traditional procedures done that are nothing out of the ordinary, which is why they are generally very easy to get. But there are still quite a few cases where the surgeon may express serious concerns towards your plastic surgery choice, to the point where they turn you down and refuse to do the procedure. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, instead of feeling angry towards to doctor, take a moment to think about their reasoning and why someone in the plastic surgery profession would decide that you are better off not having it done.

Is Plastic Surgery Reversible?

Written by Seoul TouchUp. Posted in Asian Eye Surgery, Asian Plastic Surgery, Facial Bone Surgery, Korean Eyelid Surgery, Korean Plastic Surgery, Medical Tourism Korea, Plastic Surgery News

Plastic surgery is one of the most popular ways to alter your appearance to something that you will feel comfortable in. It has provided millions of people with a new start and with a much more comfortable life. However, there may be times in a person’s life when they wish to reverse the procedure and go back to their previous look. There are many reasons as to why someone would choose to make this reversal. Although it may in some cases be because they are not happy with the way that the procedure turned out in the long run, it is usually because they wish to make another change, or because they would like to go back to their natural appearance. To the surprise of many people, this is something that many plastic surgery procedures are able to do.

YOU CAN REVERSE ALMOST ANYTHING, BUT NOT TO THE SAME EXTENT

Technically, all plastic surgeries are reversible to a certain extent, or perhaps entirely. It all depends on the complexity of the procedure and how much of your original look was altered. Simple procedures like Korean botox, are entirely reversible because they disappear on their own. This is because it is a procedure that isn’t permanent to begin with, so the botox that was injected in your skin gradually disappears. However, other simple procedures like eyelid surgeries and skin augmentations can also be reversed to a point where they look almost exactly as they did before the surgery. However, unlike botox, these reversals also require another surgery to be done in order to be altered again. And depending on how much the surgeon is required to go back in time, this reversal procedure may be as complex as the original one.

The Basics of V-line Surgery in Korea

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Facial Bone Surgery

v-line surgery in koreaV-line surgery in Korea is one of the newest Facial Plastic Surgery trends, and is one of the many facial features that can be changed. Over the years, plastic surgery has developed into a very precise medical phenomenon, with many doctors now specializing for one specific type of surgery. This enables them to be experts in their field, and it also means that they are much more likely to provide patients with positive results.

What is V-line surgery?

It refers to the changes made to the patient’s jaw in order to make it more v-shaped. Specifically, this change is best noticed on the patient’s chin, because it gives it a more prominent v-shape than it had before. V-line surgery in Korea is different for each patient, because while the end result is to make a v-shape, each patient’s starting look is very different. Some people have broad or flat chins, long and short faces, facial asymmetries, and other features that are different for everyone. Because of this, the doctor must plan the procedure separately for each patient so that the correct changes can be made.

The procedure begins with a clean cut and removal of the bone. Once this is done, the surgeon begins safely narrowing the chin according to the previously defined instructions of the patient. This part of the procedure does not cause any damage to the facial nerves and is very safe. When the correct shape of the chin has been reached, the remaining portion of the mandible (jaw bone) is cut o the required length. The final step is to narrow the lower jaw, which gives the end v-line shape.

Who can do it?

Plastic surgeries in general can be done my adults, and also by minor if they have their parents’ consent to do so. For procedures like the V-line surgery in Korea, doctors often advise younger patients to wait until a certain age when their jaw is more or less developed, so that the chin will remain in its new shape for good. This type of surgery has many other benefits once completed. It can minimize the sagging of jaw lines and tighten the overall look of the face. It is fast becoming one of the more popular Korean Plastic Surgery procedures available, and is providing its patients with fantastic results.

Before undergoing the V-line surgery, there will likely be some pre-operative preparations that the doctor will require the patient to complete. It is in the patient’s best interest that these procedures are completed exactly to the doctor’s instructions, because the procedure is done under general anesthesia. Patients usually notice great recoveries after a few weeks, while a full recovery can take up to two months. As with any facial plastic surgery, the patient will be asked to not participate in any sports activities for a while until everything has healed properly and is fixed in place. After that, the patient can enjoy a very comfortable life with their new facial feature.
