Hello! i am a caucasian female wanting to get a plastic surgergy. one of my biggest concerns is my nose. i want to change it completely and also get facial features similar to k-pop idols. is it possible even if i am not Asian? can a plastic surgeon in korea provide goid results or are surgeons specialised more for Asian patients? thank you.

I'm curious about that exact question. I don't really have an answer for you but I can extrapolate: most Korean plastic surgeons do a lot of surgery on other Korean people (and people from other parts of Asia). So, yes, they will be more experienced with Asian facial features and may not have done many (if any) operations where the reverse is desired. That being said, you can probably find a really good plastic surgeon who knows how to do such an operation, even if they aren't terribly experienced in them. I think it depends a lot on which surgeon you choose, and of course how well you communicate what you want.

I'm confused. Do you want a nose that looks like a Korean person's nose or a nose that looks like an ideal nose according to Korean beauty standards? Because those are two different things.

I don't feel that what is described as an "ideal nose" is too different across Western European/American and Korean cultures, so it shouldn't be so difficult for a doctor to be able to produce that for you.

Also, just a note, the word "caucasian" isn't really used anymore for the horrible circumstances from which that term arose (basically, Nazi-era classification of people into "caucasian" and "mongoloid" used to scientifically prove the inferiority of non-white races) so "white" is a more appropriate term to use.

If a doctor is experienced, he can be able to give you the kind of nose you want but always remember even the best clinics have the kind of nose they make, so look for a plastic clinic that does your desired kind of nose.
