This was in Nov '13, but these Korean twins undergo extensive plastic surgery on a TV show called "Let's Beauty," which is a programme intended to help people who are "too ugly to feel confident in their life" by sponsoring plastic surgery. Anyways, these girls basically transform into brand new, unrecognisable people O.O
Here's a picture of them with their amazing doctor:
They underwent such an amazing change! Does anyone know who the doctor is? ^^ hehehe~

Look at the background! There's the word "Line" I think he's one of The Line Clinic's doctor :D
OOOOOH.
I saw that, but at first I thought that each of the white squares in the bckgd has a different clinic's name and logo... but it might just be all in different languages. :O I think you're right though! You can see his name says J.S. Lee, and there's a Dr. SungJin Lee on the Line medical staff directory that looks like him..... (same eyebrows, nose, lips, nasolabial folds, etc) :D

Oh wait. The site says he's an anesthesiologist affiliated with plastic surgery.... o.o?

The words in the back say "face line" is that the same clinic as Line?
I looked into it a little more! Turns out that you are correct. The clinic that performed the procedure was "Face-Line" whereas "The Line" is a different clinic from what I can tell by looking on their respective websites! Face-Line features the girls' transformation on their front page, but The Line doesn't!
:)

They did an amazing job. The twin on the right looks a little more...plastic? to me than her twin. They still look really pretty though!:)
I was actually thinking the same thing! I thought it might've been her facial expression, but the twin on the left does look more natural. Either way, they're both ridiculously gorgeous :)

I think it might be because of her cheeks? or chin? Maybe she needed/wanted more procedures than her twin
I agree. One twin has a sharper chin and less chubby cheeks. Even though they're twins, they still have slightly different features and different preferences, so that's probably why they look a bit different.

It's hard finding videos of someone's actual transformation through plastic surgery:/ It would be very helpful if the clinics' websites had some but I doubt anybody would be willing to share...:/
I know what you mean, especially because sometimes it's hard to tell whether makeup/lighting/editing/angle affects how drastic a transformation is. I was looking for videos as well because I'm curious to see how they look with different emotions following their procedure, haha.

Exactly! What if they look gorgeous but the second they go and speak or try to show emotions on their face it looks really unnatural or they can barely move at all? The makeup does make it hard to tell just how much they actually changed.

One of my biggest fears regarding surgery is not looking natural ): That's second to not liking the results after spending all of that money.. x___x

That's so true, saving up all that money only to come out regretting it:/ That's why I think I'll spend a great amount of time and energy to research the clinics and exactly what I want to change.

It is that's why I'm so thankful for those who review the clinic they went or share their experience. Most of my decisions are based on that.

Yesss, I agree! I favour clinics that have doctors with more experience doing a certain procedure and good customer service! Good price is always helpful, but that's not always the case :\

That is so true, I've read many reviews that say the customer service was less than welcoming but they have good surgeons or vice versa. I'm also worried they will charge me way more because I'm a foreigner.
I think I read an article about that somewhere about foreigners being charged more for services than local people. :( It's unfairr. I guess they figured that if someone flew to a different country to receive plastic surgery, they are willing to do more/spend more anyways. :|

I wonder if they still charge higher if one has a local translator to discuss prices. With all that I doubt I'll have enough to pay for ALL that AND a translator...:/
I think they'd still charge more because if you have to use a translator, that definitely means you're a foreigner :\ Ahhh, that's why I'm trying to coordinate with someone to save money for the packages on SeoulTouchUp. :|

I think I could manage the plane ride alone but I'd still feel pretty nervous about it. Seoultouchup has its own clinic/office maybe meeting other people there who also traveled alone would be easier but I don't know if it would be cheaper since your already there? I hope that makes sense I'm horrible at explaining...:3

Oh I see what you mean! But I think you have to plan on going together to have the prices reduced. I'm actually really nervous too. I know it's something I want for sure though! I'm just scared. :X

Oh but they also have that feature where they can look for a travel buddy for you right? Although I would be a lot more comfortable going with someone I've talked/communicated with. That long plane ride (about 14hrs I'm guessing from East coast US) by itself is enough to make me claustrophobic lol

It is I've tried to find before pictures of people who had a similar nose as me but they all have different preferences for their changes so it's not the same.

I guess my time frame is very limited, so waiting until they find someone is not very ideal for me. :( And yesss, I already consider east coast-west coast long enough HAHA. I think I'd just fall asleep throughout the entirety of the plane ride to Korea, hehe.

I know! I'm fortunate to have 3 weeks off in December and 2 weeks off in January to work with regarding a trip to Korea, but I feel like it's a little too short notice, since I haven't been doing as much research as I would like due to school/work consuming my life right now. :|

Whooooaaaah. That was a HUGE change! I am so envious of people that can do that *sigh*
Aside from not liking the results, which would be the absolute worst, I think one of my biggest concerns is not being able to recognize myself. I still haven't quite decided if that would be a good thing or a bad thing? I mean, obviously the point of plastic surgery is to drastically change your face/body, so in that sense I am on board. But especially when it comes to facial surgery, I think it would be so incredibly strange and disorienting to just one day look in the mirror and not see yourself. Like waking up in someone else's body lol It's something I'm still trying to come to terms with, to determine how much plastic surgery I actually want.

I'm not sure that I agree that plastic surgery's objective is to "drastically change your face/body." I think of it as more of a way to manipulate what you currently have whether subtly or drastically; it's really up to you. But I do agree with the notion that it might take a little getting used to your new appearance. I often ponder about how long it would take my friends/family to get used to it or accept it, haha.

You're right, I should rephrase. I meant that plastic surgery is a drastic measure, and often the results people want are equally drastic. But there are also plenty of people who are after subtle changes, so that was a misstep on my part.
Part of the reason I started considering plastic surgery was because I plan to move away and never see my family again, but I don't know how my friends would react. We joke about it sometimes but I don't think they know how big a change I'm thinking. And it would be SUPER weird, I think, to get plastic surgery and then go back to work? Like one day you look like "you" and then you come back and your coworkers would be like "who is this person". haha

Work, friends, family--I too was considering their reaction when I decided to go on my trip. However, I realise that it's ultimately MY choice, so if it makes me happy (and is not an unhealthy addiction), they should be as well. I went to Korea and had surgeries on my eyes, nose, and nasolabial folds, so I thought that was a lot. However, the results were very natural looking, and most people didn't even notice, to my surprise... HAHAHA. Only my best friend and my boyfriend noticed actually o-o Other people thought my bruises/swelling were from my clumsiness....
TLDR: If you're happy and healthy, don't worry too much about what other people think :)

I wish the girls weren't wearing as much makeup in the final picture. It is so easy for a really good makeup artist to enhance or play down features. I think they did get a marvelous makeover, but I wish I could have seen just it without the makeup.
