Korea is known as the plastic surgery capital of the world with a lot of medical tourism. The doctors there are highly qualified and there are a lot of good clinics to choose from. I'm personally not satisfied with the jobs local American doctors have done, and find the price too high for the quality. Korean plastic surgery clinics generally have stellar reputations and are more reasonably priced.

Yeah, I agree. The cost of Korean plastic surgery is more reasonable.

I remember thinking that same thing upon first starting my research with American doctors! I was like, "Okay, so the nose was bulbous and crooked, and you made it a tiny bit less bulbous, and left it crooked? $8,000? Riiiiight.".

I agree with a lot of what was already mentioned. S.Korea has the highest rate of cosmetic surgery, so doctors there tend to be more abundant, experienced, and qualified. I've worked for a plastic surgeons here in the U.S., and they've even admitted that if they were patients, they would prefer to go to Korea due to the overall expertise of the doctors there, especially for the great prices! Moreover, I'm Asian, and I feel that the doctors there have more practise with Asian patients (of course) :p And finaalllyy, I've always wanted to go to Korea, so that's always an added bonus. :D

I like the results I see from Korean plastic surgeons, I am more comfortable because I feel they have much more experience than doctors in countries where plastic surgery is less common, and because it is so competitive the prices are much lower than they would be elsewhere. I live in the U.S., so it will be quite a trek to get there, but I hope it will be worth it! And, for the record, I am Caucasian and many people on this site are non-Asian; it definitely isn't a "because you're Asian" thing, there are all ethnicities looking at South Korea!

I am Asian, and I live in the US, so I am scared most doctors here don't know a lot about Asian faces. Also, I am exposed to kdramas/kpop, and they always seem to have successful plastic surgery.
I agree. Also, because Seoul is so experienced (since it is more commonly done here) it attracts really famous people too... supermodels like Miranda Kerr! I don't know what she got though.
