My mum's quite supportive. She thinks there's nothing wrong with pursuing beauty. But yeah, it's a little hard to have everyone around you to accept the idea that you want to change your own body.
Still, I trust my feelings. I'm sure my friends will change their mind when they see me after plastic surgeries. haha I hope!

You're so lucky:( My mom is so strict and our family and my friends are very conservative especially when I joke about having a plastic surgery that they made it into a serious topic. So I'll wait til I'm 23 or something to have the operation.

All my friends are very supportive of it. I asked my dad if he would be mad if I got a nose job and he was totally supportive of it, which really surprised me, I thought he would be offended or something. I don't really think I'm going to tell them about my plans for fat grafting though just because I don't want them to think I'm trying to change my entire face for some unhealthy reason. Luckily my family is very liberal and don't really care what I do to my body as long as it isn't dangerous or stupid or something haha

My close friends are supportive of it but not all of my friends are cool with the idea of plastic surgery. They're all moving away so it won't matter haha. My family is definitely not supportive of it because they're religious and say that I'm "changing what God made", which is an argument they don't make when they see babies get cleft lips fixed and stuff like that. I think I'll only tell my mom right before I do it when I'm a bit older.

My mom is very supportive of it luckily~ My dad is unsure. My friends told me I look fine the way I am, but they are supportive since it is what I want.
My family and friends are the same exact way^^. My mom has had a nose job in the past, so she understands my feelings about it .__. She knows that I'm very self-conscious about my features because I was bullied back in middle/high school, so anything that makes me happy/self-loving, she supports. :) My dad likes to tell me that I'm perfect as is, but I guess he sorta understands where I'm coming from? My friends are supportive too, and some even want to come to Korea with me~~ :D

Have any of you told your friends and family about wanting plastic surgery? What were their reactions? Are they supportive? Did you even tell them? What about those of you who have already had surgery, what kind of reactions do you get from people you know?
My mom and one of my older sisters is very supportive. My dad and my three other sisters think its a phase. But I would like to stay in Korea until all bandages and stitches are off and I am a little healed so that I don't traumatized anyone.hahah

You are so lucky to have such a supportive group of people around you. At this point in my life, I wouldn't tell anyone I want plastic surgery. Whenever I mention negative feelings I have in regards to my looks, my friends just tell me I'm silly and that I look fine the way I am... my mother, being an Asian mother, will tell me I will look better if lose a few lbs.
I've always been self conscious about my calves and I know that it's all muscle and nothing to do with fat.
My dad will probably just tell me 'no' straight up and not say anything else about it.
