Instead of a real rhinoplasty many people choose to have a non-invasive procedure using different type of nose fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm or Radiesse.
What is the difference between those nose fillers in terms of result and long last. I know that Restylane and Juvederm are hyaluronic based while Radiesse is not. Which is more body friendly?
Thank you very much in advance!

Hi @TK ,
Love these questions of yours, keep them coming! It's very important to stay informed before any type of procedure. :)
All three of these products work beautifully for the nasolabial folds, also called the parentheses lines, extending between the edges of the nostrils and the corners of the mouth. Yup, Restylane and Juvederm are hyaluronic based.
In terms of duration: The primary difference between them is that Restylane and Juvederm are have a shorter duration (~ 6-9 months) as compared with Radiesse, which can last up to 18 months or longer.
In terms of safety: In the unlikely event of a lump or assmmetrical result, these hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can be dissolved with a simple injection of hyaluronidase. That said, Radiesse cannot be dissolved and is slightly more expensive.
Some important things to know about Radiesse:
- Pros:
- Little thicker, stronger (like peanut butter)
- Large volume in a vial, can treat multiple areas
- Cons:
- Slightly higher complication rate, must be careful not to inject into vessels
- Not reversible like HA's
- Opaque, not clear, so can't be used for tear trough areas
Hope that helps! :)

Hi SeoulTouchUp!
Thank you very much for encouraging me to ask anything that I want. ^^
Ah good to know the Pros and Cons of these fillers, I´ve heard that normally Restylane of Juvederm are used as fillers for the first time and then if the patient is satisfied with the result he/she will go on with Radiesse. :D
So Radiesse won´t dissolve even after 18 months? In this case you would recommend to use Restylane or Juvederm for bridge augmentation? ^^
Thank you very much in advance again.
Sincerely
