I can't vouch for the rhinoplasty, but I've done laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini area in the US.  It isn't a procedure that can be done all at once; you start at the lowest heat setting and the hair falls out in a week or two, but it does grow back.  You keep going back to get the areas treated, and the lasers increase in intensity.  The lasers don't get all the hair in one go, because it targets hair that is in a specific stage of growth, and not all your hair is at that stage all at once.  I actually just finished my final session today, and its taken me about two years to get everything.  If you are looking to get your hair thinned out though, a once-over is definitely a good way to go.

I agree with what Jennifer said. Generally, they recommend ~6+ sessions of laser hair removal, depending on the amount of hair, the growth cycle of the hair, and your skin/hair colours. Moreover, each session should be spaced out 4-6 weeks, as it would most effectively target hair during its most active phase of its growth cycle.
