Options for Enlargement of Asian Eyes | Plastic Surgery Procedures | Forum
May 12, 2013
I'm an Asian with really small and narrowed eyes. I want my eyes to look fuller and bigger. Double eyelid surgery has been recommended to me by many friends and yeah I am planning to get that although.... honestly, I don't think it will make my eyes any bigger? Is there some kind of surgery that is specifically for eye enlargement that will make my eyes bigger and fuller looking..?
If anybody got any insights, please share with me!! Thanks.

You are right in that double eyelid surgery does not make the eyes larger. One would think that their eyes will look larger after the traditional double eyelid surgery as this takes up the excess hooding on the upper eyelid. But even as the excess hooding skin has gone up, one would need a vertical as well as horizontal eye enlargement.
Vertically, it can be done through ptosis repair which in Korea, is also known as adjustment of the vertical height of the iris. You can benefit from lateral eye enlargement - through epicanthoplasty (opening the inner side of eye) and lateral canthoplasty (opening the outer side of eye) for Asian eyelids. Combined, it can enlarge your eyes. :)
