I am so tired of looking scary/angry all the time! I'm nice, I promise -__- Most of the procedures I want are to correct my resting b!tch face. That translates to looking younger and fresher. I am considering:

  • The surgery where you cut the outside of the eyelids to correct slanted eyes (I can't quite remember the name)
  • Smile-line implants
  • Fat grafting
  • Loveband surgery

Any friendly yet angry-faced friends out there? What procedures would you get to look younger and fresher and less perpetually angry?

Hello! The first surgery you're describing is called lateral canthoplasty! :)

My friend has the same concern about her RBF, and she's considering cheek-bone reduction and aegyo sal (love-band surgery) :p

The following users say thank you to dnice for this useful post:

Cheekbone reduction sounds so wonderful yet so scary at the same time. I've heard of people getting an overly-flat face, not something I want either!

Oooh. I guess that is quite frightening.... but I guess that's where your choice in surgeon plays in, haha

I don't think I look particularly scary . . . my RBF is more out of choice ^^ But I have been considering surgeries that are thought to make you look "cuter" like aegyo sal and that surgery where they turn up the corners of your lips? Ah, I can't remember what it's called. There is an article about it here; most of the Western news articles I've seen about it portray it as freaky and Joker-like but obviously it's meant to be a more natural thing. Might help with the RBF problem, not to mention it's cute in its own right if you ask me :)

Your choice of clinic/surgeon definitely effects that, but also remember that a lot of Korean surgeries are aimed at getting a LESS flat face, because that is a common Asian complaint, so it shouldn't be too hard get get your surgeon to understand what you want. Just find someone who knows what they're doing, as goes for all surgeries.

I also suffer/benefit from resting bitch face.

I've never heard of that surgery  to tilt the corners of your mouth so that you've got a permanent little smile. It's an interesting idea but I think I'd prefer to keep my grumpy mouth shape - it comes in handy more often than I'd care to admit. ;)
