Hello! I'm a 23 year old, Caucasian girl from America. I'm in love with self-improvement. I like some parts of my face and dislike others, and I'm looking to improve the parts I don't like!

I've been doing research for almost a year now. I have a pretty high-paying job, thankfully, but I want to have many consultations and be absolutely sure of what I am doing before I do it. I have found a few decent surgeons in the US for my nose and eyes, and I am definitely going to consult with them, as well as South Korean doctors. It has been my experience in research, though, that America has a mindset of, "Everyone is beautiful, and we're just bringing out your natural beauty!"; it's very hypocritical and makes for mostly sub-par results, as I've seen. I originally discovered South Korea because I have a large, asymmetrical chin, and U.S. surgeons seem utterly baffled by bone contouring.

I'll probably keep a pretty detailed account of my journey either here or elsewhere. I am so glad I found this site, as it seemed so overwhelming to organize everything by myself. My time frame is about a year.

Just a rundown of what I'm seeking:
Eyes: I have either some ptosis or just a difference in the amount of fat of my two upper lids. Need a consultation to know. And seeking either bleph or fat grafting for dark circles.
Nose: Well, rhinoplasty. Although, I'm hoping I can find a doctor who understands that I like my slightly turned up nose, and just want everything slimmed down a bit. I know upturned isn't really the look over there.
Chin/Jaw/Teeth: Might need orthognathic surgery, as I have asymmetry and TMJ. Also seeking some more general cosmetic dental things.

Of course, I have to wait til I'm done with my laser hair removal, but I'm having that done in the US. Contact me if you want to be confused, surgery-seeking friends. :)

Hi Emily! I feel exactly the same way, so it's lovely to meet a fellow confused surgery-seeking individual! I just want rhinoplasty, and like you it's not because I "absolutely hate everything about my nose" but because I like the idea of it being just that little bit better, and enhancing everything else :) Aussies are great (national pride haha) but the cosmetic surgery here is extremely expensive, and I like the idea of visiting a new country for holiday purposes as well as taking advantage of their surgeons' skill set! Good luck, and let us know how your treatments go!

What you want sounds a lot like what I want! My eyes are just a tiny bit uneven and it bothers me even though I don't think it's particularly noticeable. And I don't want a completely different nose, just a better one. How is laser hair removal going? It is something else I want done but . . . well, it's expensive, and I'm a little wary of U.S. practitioners.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Hey Emily! I'm also from Eastern USA (East Coast to be exact :) ) I've also done research on American surgeons, and the decent ones seem to have sky-high pricing!! (Also, their "Ethnic" rhinoplasty seems mediocre at best.) I want to get mine done in May, and I will let you know what I thought if you ever want details and such!

How's they hair removal going? I've been thinking of doing that myself, but always felt like it wouldn't work? What are you getting done as far as hair removal right now?
