Does anyone know if airlines offer cheaper tickets during certain parts of the year or have re-occurring promotionals?

Google flights is very helpful for booking airline tickets. It shows the price trends for each day in the year for multiple airlines all on one screen. For example, December flights would cost more because of the holidays, whereas September flights are cheaper because fewer people are flying around that time. Also, you can look at flexible dates and durations, which I think is super awesome as well. :D

Oooh, I like that.  I like how you can even hover over different spots and see the prices to go there instead!  But I don't see where it offers trends during the year; it just gave me different rates for a few weeks going forward.

A graph with vertical bars should show up when you select your dates and duration of the trip.

Right, so it might be better to wait until I have an idea of when I actually want to go.

Hi guys! Rehashing this old topic, but I think it's always great to save a little money here and there!

.....om/reports

This is an awesome website that uses travel data to indicate the cheapest seasons to travel :o you just put in your airport and indicate Seoul for destination! For example, best time to go to Seoul (ICN) from San Francisco is late February with low prices of ~430$ roundtrip :O I haven't played around with the site long enough to see if all cities show up, but I wish I knew about this earlier.....but I guess this is for future reference! Good luck! :D

The following users say thank you to dnice for this useful post:
