Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, to Knock Some Age Off Your Face

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Eyelid Surgery

Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, to Knock Some Age off Your FaceAging is inevitable, and with aging comes the different physical changes associated with it. These are the very alterations that make one have a hard time dealing with the process. As my mom best puts it, “I have nothing against adding another year to my age, but I am most concerned with the wrinkles and all concomitant to it.” We are all headed to the old age end; we can’t beat it nor stop it. Our neck, cheeks, and other facial aspects will eventually begin to sag. One of these days, you might just stare at the mirror and ask yourself, ‘Where did my youthful mien go?’

The eye region is often the primary area to show any signs of aging and sun damage. As one reaches 40, baggy eyelids are often a common concern. This is especially true with most Asians, who already have thin lids. This is the reason why they effortlessly develop wrinkles around their eyes. In addition to that, the eye area is considered the busiest, since it is subject to a lot of activity, such as blinking, squinting, and even making facial expressions.

One prominent feature of aging is the sagging upper and lower eyelids. The muscles around our eyes are more vulnerable to losing their muscle tone and elasticity as we age. Gravity then acts, allowing the upper and lower lids to slowly slide downward and create a droopy look. Puffy eyes and baggy lids can be the biggest obstacles in achieving a fresh and young look. Unfortunately, there will come a time when no amount of makeup can cover the results of the aging process. With the amount of technology surrounding us today, it is best to use all its products to their maximum capacity. One of the options is cosmetic eyelid surgery, which can help one chuck that sleepy look off their face.

Why should I consider cosmetic eyelid surgery?

Cosmetic eyelid surgery, specifically  blepharoplasty, is the niftiest and most effective method to slowing down—if not totally stopping—the aging process. It is the best way to bring back the spark your eyes used to have. There are numerous perks when one has it done. First, there is a significant reduction in the bags found under the eyes, therefore reducing the need to thickly apply any concealer. It can also leave someone with a more alert appearance, through the upper eyelid surgery that can help tighten up the upper lid. It all boils down to achieving a younger and fresher look.

Who should I consult about cosmetic eyelid surgeries?

Blepharoplasty is usually done on an outpatient basis, and is generally considered a safe procedure. However, one should be picky when choosing the right surgeon for the job. In my case, since I am an Asian, it is best to turn to an Asian surgeon, particularly one from South Korea as they are the ones that can best understand my unique Asian eyelid features. Asian surgeons are also the ones that have already earned the global reputation of being the best when it comes to eyelid surgeries. This means that any individual who wishes to have their eyelids done can travel to any Asian country for plastic surgery, such as South Korea, and have their nip and tuck sessions there.

Middle Aged Asian Women and Blepharoplasty Eye Surgery

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty Eye Surgery and Middle Aged AsianAs a middle aged Asian woman, I can now feel the effects of those days when I took my skin for granted—particularly the skin surrounding my eyes. Feeling invincible, I would often expose myself to the sun, wear my make-up to sleep, and even buy cheap make-up, thinking that it was okay to do so. I really loved my eyes, and used them to flirt and express my other emotions in a nonverbal manner.

Gone are those days, and my eyes now show how much I abused my face and my skin. My eyelids that I was so proud of are drooping like my twelve-year-old dog’s skin; the skin surrounding my eyes looks like pressed prunes, and when I face myself in the mirror, I can’t help but feel depressed, as no one would ever think that my face captured a lot of attention in a positive way. I actually dread facing the mirror every morning, as it would only show that I have not aged gracefully.

Asian middle aged women like me are more prone to obvious effects of aging around the eye areas because of genetics. As we grow older, puffiness and fats around the eyes are emphasized, which makes our eyes look chinkier, droopy, or slanted. This problem cannot be solved by layers of concealers and foundations, but blepharoplasty will help in eradicating this problem.

Is Blepharoplasty the Solution?

Blepharoplasty was developed two hundred years ago.It was actually a procedure used to correct eyelid deformities, and the effects of certain sickness and diseases. The procedure was also used to reconstruct damages in the areas surrounding the eyes during World War 2. Fortunately, doctors specializing in the field of cosmetic eyelid surgery realized its potential, and further developed this procedure to help thousands of middle aged men and women all over the world recapture their youth.

Through blepharoplasty, extra fat tissues and muscles are excised, drooping or sagging eyelids are lifted, and loose skin around the eyes is tightened or totally removed. The effects on the entire face can be very remarkable, as it makes one look years younger. This procedure is highly recommended by medical experts for middle aged men and women of Asian descent.

Is the Procedure Safe for Middle Aged Men and Women?

Blepharoplasty is a very safe procedure, with minimal risks or complications. Unless you have some life threatening disease, the procedure can be done to any middle agedman or woman who desires change. The entire surgery usually takes an hour or two, and the total recovery period can last up to two weeks. In just a matter of weeks, you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror, and be glad you took time out and invested on a procedure that is now one of the most popular eye cosmetic surgeries in Asia.

When it comes to blepharoplasty and other eye cosmetic procedures like double eyelid surgery, Asian doctors are known to be the best. They have a better understanding of the problems of Asians compared to western doctors.

Although the effects of aging cannot be reversed completely, blepharoplasty is one cosmetic procedure that can delay the effects of aging and can revitalize the eyes and the face. Wouldn’t it be great to feel and look young again?

Asian Eyelid Surgery for Beautiful Asian Eyes

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Eyelid Surgery

Asian Eyelid Surgery for Beautiful Asian Eyes

It has long been known that looking beautiful is an integral part of our day-to-day survival. From Plato to Aquinas, and from Kant and beyond, beauty has traditionally been the ultimate standard of aesthetic quality. This supports the idea that when we look at something lovely, it gives rise to something pleasurable in us. When we stare at ourselves in the mirror, we feel happy when we see ourselves as beautiful. And in order to look attractive, we place a high price on keeping our faces at tiptop shape.

One of the facial features we never fail to scrutinize is our eyes. Eyes can have different functions in varying situations. To a young infant, recognizing his mom’s eyes can mean security, as it is the first facial detail he notices from her. As we begin to grow, it can be an important communication tool. Without the need for any physical gestures, we can send signals of our mood. In an instant, one can determine if we are feeling happy, sad, angry, or surprised, by merely looking at our eyes. As we grow older, they are the first to show signs of aging. Indeed, with the many things we owe our eyes, the least we can do is keep them looking amazing and gorgeous.

What do beautiful eyes mean to Asians?

Beautiful eyes have long been equated to bigger eyes. It follows that, when we want to keep them looking amazing and gorgeous, it also means we take care of their all-time partner: our eyelids. To most Asians like me, double eyelid folds are connected to gaining bigger eyes. Often, people try many different methods to achieve the most coveted double eyelids. About 50% of my fellow Asians have mono-lids. Such methods may include religious use of adhesives or tapes, to train the eyelids. That can have a small effect, but to someone who likes natural-looking lids that can survive for a long time, cosmetic eyelid surgeries can sound very appealing.

How can double eyelids be achieved by Asians?

In general, cosmetic eyelid surgeries cover a number of different types of procedures, but there is one that is sought exclusively by Asians: the double eyelid surgery. Asians naturally have different eyelids, so many choose this particular type of eyelid surgery. It is the most popular procedure requested by Asians when they seek aesthetic surgery to further enhance their beauty.

Where can I get Asian eyelid surgery?

Asian eyelid surgery is offered worldwide, but it is often best done in Asia, particularly South Korea. If done outside Asia, double eyelid surgery costs can be very expensive, and even the best surgeons in US can’t compare to the expertise of those found in South Korea. When you check the web for customer satisfaction, it is highest also when done by a South Korean surgeon. It is clear that South Koreans should be the number one choice when it comes to Asian double eyelid fold surgery.

Are you looking for a change in your life that can mean a new beautiful you? An Asian eyelid surgery can just be the answer. An hour of surgery can make a huge difference in the way you look, all thanks to the simple reshaping of your eyelids.

The Importance of Double Eyelid Surgery

The Importance of Double Eyelid Surgery

Everyone desires change. While some people might want a change in their career, love life, or even in their lifestyle, the majority of people secretly want a change in the way they look. Society has placed importance on one’s physical attributes, which is why cosmetic procedures are widely accepted in all parts of the world, including Asia. It is not surprising that we hear stories of mothers bringing their daughters to plastic surgeons hoping to improve the chances of their daughter marrying a prized catch, women undergoing procedures to land a good job, or even middle-aged women wanting a procedure done to ensure that their husbands never go astray. The women of today know what they want, and they dare to make their dreams come true. They have come to realize that a physical change through a cosmetic procedure will open windows of opportunities for them, and among all the cosmetic procedures that are available, double eyelid surgery is one of the most popular ones in Asia.

Why Do People Desire Double Eyelid Surgery?

Studies show that the eyes are the first thing people notice. The eyes do speak, and they speak the truth. Mesmerizing eyes can have a positive effect on both you and how people react to you. Unfortunately, not everyone is gifted with eyes that can capture someone’s attention. The good news is that there are numerous cosmetic eyelid surgeries available for those who are not satisfied with how their eyes look, and the double eyelid surgery can be a solution for many different types of eyes.

In fact, double eyelid fold surgery is now not uncommon, so it is not a surprise to find that the number of Asians getting double eyelid surgery is only increasing. You should consider double eyelid surgery if you want to make your eyes look rounder and bigger, which means you can enjoy eye make-up more! No more double eyelid tape, thick eyeliner, rubbing eyes to create double eyelids, etc. By having a double eyelid surgery, you can remove those aesthetic limitations you have endured due to having a single eyelid (monolid).

If you are still in school, summer and winter vacations are the best times to get double eyelid fold surgery as you need some time (1 month) to deal with swelling and redness after the surgery. If you are looking for a job, double eyelid surgery can even increase the chance of landing a good job as outer appearance plays an important role in getting a job in today's practical society. If you are in your 20s or 30s, having a double eyelid surgery may be the best investment you will ever make. After all, a pair of beautiful eyes will always be desirable and enticing, no matter how young or old you are. If you are thinking about going to another country for plastic surgery, especially for double eyelid surgery, please check why Korea is a hit in medical tourism these days before you start your life-altering journey.
