Korean Eye Plastic Surgery Before and After Transformations: Did These Celebrities Have Surgery?

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

Most Asians will tell you that double lidded eyes are a gift to be cherished, that if you born with it – you’re lucky. Society has a beauty standard and people realize this. For Korea and its neighbouring Asian countries, fair skin and double lidded eyes are two major traits of what is considered desirable. Just look at Korean dramas and K-POP, fans cannot help but wonder if their idol has had surgery or not. Korean eyelid surgery or double eyelid surgery is just that, transforming mono-lidded eyes into double lidded eyes – giving the appearance of more prominent looking eyes. Here we may have two Korean eye plastic surgery before and after transformation examples. We cannot say for certain whether these celebrities have had surgery or not. So, dear readers, why don’t you be the judge and decide for yourself?

Here we have Kai from EXO as well. If you ask me, he actually looks pretty similar to when he was a child!

The two of them actually look pretty similar to when they were children. Looking around the internet, there are many korean eye plastic surgery before and after transformations of Asians like these 3 amazing Asian eye surgery before and after transformations. But to be fair, how drastic the change is dependent on how much surgery was done on the person. I think we can be sure that these celebrities most probably have not done too extensive surgeries. What we can be sure, though, is that after the Korean Hallyu Wave where Korean entertainment has been welcomed by the world with open arms – especially Asia, many people from neighbouring Asian countries have decided to go to Korea for surgery. Now, there are more Singaporeans flying to Seoul for plastic surgery for instance. The trend continues to go on! What do you think about getting plastic surgery – would you ever consider getting it? Yay or nay?

3 Amazing Korean Eye Surgery Before and After Transformations of Korean Celebrities

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

In recent years, South Korea has earned a strong reputation for being Asia’s hot spot for plastic surgery purposes. One of the most popular surgeries is Korean eyelid surgery and specifically, double eyelid surgery. As compared to their Western counterparts, not many of Asian descent are born with that crease above the eye – which makes the eye look all the more larger. These days, double eyelids can be made from one of two options for those who desire it; eyelid tape or through surgery. The former option is a more temporary solution while the latter is a more permanent solution.

Let us look at some Korean celebrities who are loved by Korean fans and around the world for their talent and beauty. It cannot be said whether these celebrities have had any surgery done or not, unless they have admitted to doing so. Still, many fans can’t help but speculate on this matter. Well, here are some potential (maybe they have had surgery, maybe not.) korean eye surgery before and after transformations. We’ll let you decide, dear reader.

Also from SNSD, Hyo-yeon  has also developed well!

Whether or not their physical beauty is the work of natural traits, make-up, Photoshop, surgery or a combination – these celebrities look stunning. One thing that is still debatable though is the question: are cosmetic procedures a sensible investment? Getting plastic surgery is a very personal decision and responsibility, there have been cases of botched jobs that have led to very ugly implications. While people have their reasons for choosing to go under the knife, how much is going too far? Right now, people are literally getting palm line surgery for better fortunes. Do you believe that your future is in the palm of your surgeon’s hand? Some people do and that’s their choice! My general advice is to ensure that the surgeon is qualified and experienced! I mean, we do use our hands… a lot. So, dear readers, I ask you this: if you want plastic surgery – what are your reasons and how far would you go with it?

3 Myths About Asian Surgery – Let’s Debunk Them!

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

asian surgeryLately, there has been a growing interest in plastic surgery in Korea- both in Asia and beyond. There have arisen quite a few misconceptions revolving around the topic of Asian surgery. This is made even more so by the western media who also perpetuate these myths.

Myth #1: “Asians want to look white, like us, Westerners.”
Truth: This could be true but is definitely NOT the absolute, one and only truth. People who undergo Asian plastic surgery want to simply change their physical looks – it is as simple as that. Okay, let us look at the famous topic of the Korean Big Eye Surgery Boom: Do Asians really want to look Caucasian?

Yes, Korea’s standard of beauty; in general, big eyes, a well-defined nose and a small, thin face are prized but for complex reasons. Some people say the Korean Wave had started it; some people may say that whitish skin is desired due to cultural reasons – in ancient times in Asia, white skin is associated with the wealthier class. Maybe the reason is really simple - people just find it attractive! Who doesn’t agree that big eyes, a well-defined nose and a small, thin face on a person makes them look doll-like or babyish? That is the trend in young women in Asia these days, and that is becoming an establishing fact.

Myth #2: “It’s because of K-POP and Korean entertainment - that is the reason for their obsession with plastic surgery!”
Truth: There is a make-over show called “Let Me In” that transforms those so-called unattractive looking individuals into what is dubbed a beautiful swan. That is correct. But! Look at American television, “Extreme Makeover” anyone? What about “10 Years Younger” in British television? South Korea is not the only country that broadcasts such shows. As for Korean celebrities, yes, some of them have even admitted to getting surgery done. Let us not forget that an abundance of American celebrities also have done the same thing!

Myth #3: “Double Jaw Surgery sounds nasty, who does that? That is such an unhealthy body ideal!”
Truth: Ok, what gives? Since we are talking about “unhealthy body ideals”, while we are on the subject… why not criticize the body weight of Asian women? There is this age-old belief that east-Asian women are mostly skinny anyway. The fact is that bulimia nervosa often caused by chasing after an “ideal” weight is equally unhealthy. Some people in western countries chase after an “ideal” weight – that can be said to be unhealthy! If it goes below the healthy BMI range, well, that might put a damper on your health. That said, double jaw surgery can be an unhealthy pursuit - like everything else, if obsessed about. Say, if someone has gotten double jaw surgery for the fifth time and the surgery has screwed up time and time again – that is an unhealthy mindset. Remember kids, only look for board-certified plastic surgeons. If you pay for cheap but dubious surgery, you get what you pay for!

3 Amazing Asian Eye Surgery Before and After Transformations

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

In the olden days, many Asian families who worked under the sun had tanned skin. They were viewed differently to those who had the luxury to be free from hard labour. Perhaps this cultural belief is still prevalent; it is a fact that white skin is still appealing in Asian culture! Besides that, it is not very common for Asians to be born with double eyelids. You know what they say about women with curly hair wanting straight hair and women blessed with straight hair wanting curly hair? The grass often seems greener on the other side. But is it? Well, look at all these Asian eye surgery before and after transformations and be your own judge!

Her skin is lighter and her eye bags have greatly diminished but the one thing that is very pronounced is those double eyelids of hers.

Now for her she seems to have had a bit of a lazy eye also known as amblyopia, and a fairly noticeable difference in the size of each eye. Now, they look much more proportionate as well as larger.

This gentleman seems to have had really dark eye circles but after the transformation, he looks less tired. Also, with his acne cleared, he looks much healthier. If there is one thing that patience and determination can’t change through one’s own bare hands (unless you are a surgeon yourself), is the eyes! After Korean eyelid surgery or double eyelid surgery, his eyes are looking more pronounced now.

While beauty is really skin deep and many severe forms of acne can be avoided from a healthy diet and lifestyle, the eyes on the other hand, are another matter altogether. Assuming you are not damaging your eyes by poking it with a pencil – there is really not much that one can do on their own to change the appearance of the eyes. However, the eyes are said to be the windows to the soul – so we can hope that our eyes does us justice!

There are many asian eye surgery before and after transformations of Korean Celebrities who have admitted to getting surgery all over the web. As plastic surgery in Korea is becoming very popular even amongst western countries, a very curious question has arose in the media. This question is about the Korean Big Eye Surgery Boom: Do Asians really want to look Caucasian? Some people seem to think that many Asians wanting surgery for their eyes has everything to do with a desire to look, talk and act Caucasian. It can also be said that rather than looking at this with a narrow perspective, many Koreans have this belief that “beauty is created, not defined.” Dear readers and Seoul TouchUp forum members, what do you think? Is this claim utterly rubbish or true to an extent?

Now You Can Have Bright and Youthful-looking Eyes with or without Korean Eye Enlargement Surgery.

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

korean eye enlargement surgeryKorean eyelid surgery and Korean rhinoplasty are one of the most highly sought after surgeries to be performed in Korea. There's also a new trend going on right now – with or without surgery involved. It is aegyo sal.

Surgery is not necessarily needed here. However, this puffed-up look is not to be confused with horrendous eye bags. While the infamous and unattractive eye bags are purple or blue in colour, aegyo sal or the puffed up look is in neutral or pinkish colour.

In everyday body language, a genuine smile normally involves the entire face and a lot of facial muscles – usually, there is a tightening around the eyes! In the aegyo sal look, these little pockets of skin just under the eye puffs up ever so slightly which in some way automatically emulates a friendly demeanour. It is similar to how many young and older women groom and tread their eyebrows, sometimes to get rid of thick and untamed eyebrows that can give off a hard, angry look. In a way, aegyo sal is said to be seen in younger Asian females, but make of that what you will! Asian plastic surgery is only but one way to obtain the aegyo sal look, sometimes together with double eyelid surgery. What do you think about aegyo sal? Yay or nay?
