Get Rid of a Misaligned Jaw Once and For All

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

misaligned jaw

For some of us, we were lucky enough to have not been born with any physical deformities – even though we have our minor flaws, nothing can be more agonizing than a misaligned jaw. In such cases, the individual either has an overbite or an under-bite, often suffering from physical pain and discomfort. That said, most sufferers also experience emotional suffering – from discrimination so easily found in society and their peers. The worst part would probably be the fact that when your environment is not very kind to you, it is easy to be harsh with yourself. According to a survey based in South Korea, appearance-based discrimination is widespread. Four in ten people in the conducted survey claimed that they have suffered discrimination in their job hunts and prospects.

It makes sense for someone suffering from a misaligned jaw to consider surgery, but who else wants Double Jaw Surgery? Claimed to be the latest fad among plastic surgery enthusiasts, it does, however, come with risks; from facial numbness to severe nerve damage. This is especially the case in Korea where a sharp, pointy jaw line is considered a desirable trait. What everybody ought to know about double jaw surgery Is that it is much more than an eyelid surgery; this jaw surgery will alter the entire facial structure of the face. It is generally advised that any interested enthusiast might just want to weigh their options and see whether double jaw surgery is really what they want and most importantly, is this procedure right for what you want to achieve at the end? Are there any other less invasive, less costly or perhaps just a better solution for your own individual case?

As with any other invasive surgical procedure, you will be putting your body in the hands of a stranger – you will be vulnerable. It only makes sense then to seek professional, reputable and licensed practitioners in doing the job well. In all of Asia, South Korea is renowned for their wide availability in plastic surgery purposes – and is without a doubt, considered to be Asia’s number one hot spot for plastic surgery purposes. Even so, it is not just the enthusiasts in Asia but the many  other plastic surgery enthusiasts around the world that have travelled to Korea for Korean Plastic Surgery and its best practices.

Who Else Wants Double Jaw Surgery?

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

double jaw surgery

Plastic surgery saw a gradual rise in South Korea over the past few years with their K-POP industry taking the world by storm. Its influence has grasped the hearts and minds of the public which has since then, taken an ascended role in representing the ideal face of Asia. Those with the desire of wanting a prettier face have led themselves to surgery clinics to want to have a similar outlook as their idols.

As research and technological advancement are still wading across these new territories, the public are still frolicking to clinics to get their faces done. Surgeries range from minor adjustments of specific areas of the face to more drastic facial reconstructions such as the latest trend, double jaw surgery. This particular procedure comes with a greater risk margin than say, a double eyelid surgery in terms of price and the pain involved as it drastically reconfigures the facial structure. The realignment of the upper and lower jaw is a suitable option for clients with disproportioned underbite or lowerbite. Other than medical purposes, this form of surgery also has the option to reshape the chin and jawline for clients to transform flat and blocky chins to a tapering V-shape.

Patients have been said to experience excruciating pain and numbness during the post-operative period, such as the inability to perform basic functions such as chewing, as well as experiencing strained and inhibited facial muscles. There is a risk for damaged nerve endings as well as the fact that it would take quite a while for the skin, facial tissue and muscles to heal before future appointments. It is highly recommended that should you be interested in the procedure; do educate yourself on what everybody ought to know about double jaw surgery.

It must be stressed that only board-certified plastic surgeons should be sought out for this high risk operation. As safety is of the utmost importance, double jaw surgery requires no margin for error. As evidenced by the fact that one in five women in Seoul have gone under the knife, Korean Plastic Surgery is highly sought after in all of Asia for their best practices.

What Everybody Ought to Know About Double Jaw Surgery

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Korean Plastic Surgery

Claimed to be the latest fad among plastic surgery enthusiasts, double jaw surgery is said to be a dangerous procedure to undergo; with possible side effects ranging from excessive bleeding to numbness to nerve damage. For many people suffering from a severe case of an overbite or under-bite, it makes sense to undergo double jaw surgery. However, what about for others who want slimmer, smaller faces but who have otherwise decent looks? They are simply not content with how they look.

Right now, It seems that many men and women want a sharp, pointy, “V-shaped” chin and jawline as it is considered to be a mark of beauty in East Asian societies. Other such attributes include double-lidded, big, round eyes and a nose with a high bridge. Altering the physique is usually done for medical purposes or for vanity, either way – double jaw surgery is a very invasive procedure as it dramatically alters the entire bone structure of the face. Similar to what the experts recommend for Asian breast augmentation, it is generally advised that these procedures should only be done out of one’s own wishes since the consequences will fall on you; which include a long, painful post-operative journey and reveling in the afterglow of a smooth recovery.

That said, it must be stressed that seeking others out for support during recovery is just as important.  With an estimated 52% having reported to having experienced some sensory problems such as facial numbness, there has even been a case of severe nerve damage affecting one woman’s ability to chew food and had her tear duct affected; this college student had then committed suicide from this ongoing beauty obsession in small faces, leaving loved ones with a suicide note explaining her pain. Perhaps she had panicked, was overwhelmed, and was not thinking straight as problems do have solutions. That was an unfortunate case, which is why allowing yourself to be vulnerable; surrounding yourself around trusted, loved ones during recovery is strongly advised.

What everybody ought to know about double jaw surgery or any other invasive surgical procedure is that it comes with consequences that could turn overwhelming and everyone should only seek out reputable, board-certified plastic surgeons to perform this procedure. For people interested in double jaw surgery, seeking out the support from loved ones is just as necessary as taking care of your body during the post-operative period. Double jaw surgery is particularly hyped up in South Korea, the hot spot for plastic surgery purposes in all of Asia as reflected by easily found statistics. While there are questionable, unlicensed surgeons in every part of the world, it is a fact that lots of people flock to South Korea for the best practices of Korean Plastic Surgery.

What is the Korean Double Eyelid Surgery?

Written by Chelsea Kim. Posted in Eye Lid Surgery, Korean Eyelid Surgery, Korean Plastic Surgery

korean double eyelidNumerous individuals are willing to submit themselves to eye lift surgery and double eyelid surgery, the most popular Korean plastic surgery, so their eyes look more defined. The main difference between Eastern and Western eyes is that Eastern eyes lack the crease, which is otherwise known as the double eyelid. The effect of the Korean double eyelid surgery is a wider, more awake-looking set of eyes. In older patients, wrinkles are removed. Simply put, a crease is formed where there was lack of a double eyelid, which adds more depth to the eye.

What Happens During the Surgery?

During the procedure, the doctor makes tiny cuts through the eyelid’s natural fold. In some cases, the doctor cuts below the lower lashes on the bottom lid. Once the small incisions are made, the surgeon removes the excess fatty tissue and loose skin. After the surgery, the patient can go home if there were no complications. After 7 days, the patient needs to return to the clinic to have the stitches removed. Both eyes can be done on the same day, or they can be done separately; it’s up to the patient to decide.
