These surgeries are not as popular in the western hemisphere, because Caucasian and European faces are structured differently due to genetics, and as the standards of beauty has become universal, it is very understandable that Asians would want to be at par with their western counterparts. Because the younger generations of Asians are more open to change, and are willing to spend for a more westernized look, the demand for these types of surgeries has become wide-spread in Asia.

Asian doctors understand the facial and bone structure of people of Asian descent, and have spent years to train and specialize in procedures involving Asian faces. In fact, this is the reason why Asians from all over the world travel to Asian countries to have their face done and devote time in considering medical tourism to be able to earn that dream faces they really want.
